6/14/22- New program models developed by social entrepreneurs

To whom it may concern, The Giving Group Community (GGC) was built to connect philanthropists with high-impact social ventures in Israel and the Jewish world. Our platform showcases unique and rigorously vetted causes that can help you achieved your philanthropic goals. Highlighted is a selection of giving opportunities featuring new program models developed by leading social entrepreneurs in need of seed funding to prove efficacy prior to scale.
  • Hibburim 20-80 <link>  The first Israel based technology solution matching young volunteers with isolated seniors to meet urgent health and welfare needs, as well as daily tasks. This social start up can scale nationwide: $3,000 funds 1,000 additional volunteers, $10,000 funds 3,000 mitzvah encounters, and $30,000 will enable full development of a 2.0 app.
  • Katef Le Katef <link> An emergency program to help Ukrainian immigrants gain income and employment, access educational opportunities, and understand financial rights as Israeli citizens. Three new chapters are urgently needed: $4,100 provides services to 50 immigrant families, $16,500 enables hiring of a workforce development professional, and $33,000 fully funds a center for six months.
  • Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli <link> new pilot initiative to engage 400 immigrants from Ukraine and Russian-speaking countries, importing the successful OneTable model to Israel, to enhance Jewish Identity. $4,750 sponsors 30 Shabbat dinners for 180 olim, $12,000 sponsors a weekend retreat, and $32,000 builds infrastructure with a program coordinator.
  • EHeadspace/Enosh <link>  Israel’s first online support system for youth and young adults aims to reduce suicide rates by addressing anxiety and depression. $5,000 provides ongoing support for 20 youth with mental health challenges, $100,000 inserts digital content for platform.
  • Maslan Mothers Center <link> A new practice of support for mothers of sexually abused children to address trauma, provide legal aid, and build resilience. $1,800 supports one mother with therapy and workshops for a year, $18,000 provides specialized training for 25 therapists, and $25,000 will fund a public awareness and education campaign.
  • B’Shvil HaMachar <link>  Previously serving only male or mixed groups of IDF veterans, B’Shvil is seeking to launch a new program to support female IDF soldiers, now 18% of combat forces, to heal from psychological wounds and sub-par PTSD trauma. $1,200 sponsors one veteran on a trauma-reduction journey and $18,000 sponsors a unit of 15 women.
Collective investment of $372,000 by GGC members will seed-fund these high-impact, outcome driven, community-based ventures. We are here to assist as you explore and consider philanthropic investments. Please reach out or schedule time Calendly <link> or email to request a meeting with an NGO leader.
